Just got the Larkin MC Lift at SAMS. They had 2 models, I which lowered all the way flat (about 2 inches off the ground) and came with an adapter that you could fit to any frame. It cost about $20 more, but I figured I'd go the extra mile.... The low lower end is nice, but with the adapter on, it won't fit underneath the Savage. Bottom line, if you buy one (and they are great!), you don't need the deluxe model, as long as the one you buy fits under the bike (approx 5.75").
